I was recently attending an entrepreneur meting where the topic was “Bring Your Own Website.” As someone who has spent several years in the world of digital product management and usability, I find the topic interesting. I attended the session to see what I could learn. What I discovered is that I knew more than I thought and was able to help others in the room. For example, we discussed the difference between a landing page and an interstitial page. No one in the room had heard of the word interstitial, which is a web page that is inserted between two other pages for some purpose such as asking a question.
What is the lesson here. It’s that you probably know more than you think. Be confident inn your knowledge and don’t become intimidated. Use your knowledge to take a leap of faith, start a business, coach a team, or help a friend. Whatever you do, just don’t let that knowledge go to waste.
